Just Digital People have teamed up with an exciting new start-up company to look for their next Senior Software Engineer!
These guys are building a greenfield white-labeled solution in the sports space. With some amazing interest and investment already, they are looking to at more Engineers to their ranks at a Senior and Lead level. So yep – there are multiple roles available!
The product was originally built out with Python by a vendor, but they are now distilling best practices into the platform as they scale the solution. So rather than focus on Python they are looking to bring in Engineers that have experience in scaling distributed systems, and distributed transactions, so you can increase the complexity overall.
This means that if you have experience in distrusted systems, microservices and serverless computing will be a great fit. It’s essentially the right tool for the right situation rather than sticking to a single stack.
You will be reporting to the Founder and CTO of the business and work with some incredibly talented engineers.
What they look for is a great passion for software and someone who will really add to the already talented team. You can do this ANYWHERE in a remote capacity, so this will be a fully remote role.
Although if you do like to go into the office, they are looking at sorting a solution out for those who are in Melbourne and Sydney.

- Write and test code at an effective and scalable level
- Develop back-end components, improving responsiveness and performance
- Be responsible for improving the functionality of existing systems
- Have the ability to resolve technical issues and provide effective solutions
- Be responsible for implementing data and security protection solutions
Some of the key skills you will have:
- Strong experience across distributed systems, microservices and serverless computing
- Have knowledge about object-relating mapping (ORM)
- Be familiar with React, JavaScript and HTML5
- Very strong SQL
- Solid experience across DevOps and writing infrastructure as code
- Bonus: experience or interest in wagering
- Have a kick a** attitude that works well in a team
- Preferably a relevant degree, computer science or engineering
